Today was just another working day but I decided to cheer myself up and go buy a few things. I was talking to my lovely blogger friend Megan, who suggested I get a few seasonal statement or key pieces to make me feel better about my winter wardrobe. So I had a look around and actually decided on buying some more plain and versatile items, therefore meaning I can get more wear out of them with all the florals and patterned clothing I already own! So as you can see in the image above I brought a Peplum top from topshop and a basic tube skirt from H&M. I want to be a little more grown up when it comes to putting outfits together so hopefully these tailored pieces will help do that.
This outfit is what I wore yesterday but as Lookbook was down I decided to post it today for you all! I got the cute black and white cardie from BeckyBWardrobe. I can't wait to wear it with other things as I feel it is really versatile and quite light making it easy to wear in all seasons. Today I went for this plain skater style dress from AXParis, the colour isn't too great on my skin tone but it makes a nice dress for everyday occasions and especially as it is nice and comfortable to wear.
Definitely agree that more plain clothing may be the way to go, so you can get the most out of all the patterns. And I love the outfit :) xx
